Cody Bellinger leaves game after getting hit by pitch |
This is not good news for the Northsiders.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Cody Bellinger was hit by a pitch on his left hand during Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. “It’s a little swollen, a little bit of pain still,” Bellinger said. “I went down in the dugout and gripped a baseball and I just couldn’t trust myself if I needed to make a throw. So, I just decided to come out of the game.” “The range of motion is pretty good. But I've learned that you’ve got to wait for the CT scan until you can make any opinions on it.” He stayed in the game briefly but ended up getting replaced by Miles Mastrobuoni in right field. Hopefully, taking him out of the game was just precautionary, but we will likely know more later tonight or tomorrow. For the season, 'Belli' is hitting .265 with nine homers and 37 RBIs.
