Cubs announce starting pitchers for 1st three games |
After a long offseason for fans, Chicago Cubs baseball will finally resume on Friday afternoon at 2:05 p.m.
The team announced the starting pitchers for the first three spring training games with 28-year old journeyman lefty Michael Roth starting on Friday against the Brewers. On Saturday, 26-year old righty Eddie Butler will get the nod in the Cactus League and then talented 23-year old Jen-Ho Tseug will take the rubber on Sunday. Tsueng was the Cubs 2017 minor-league pitcher of the year and has a solid future with the ballclub. All three pitchers will probably start out in Triple-A to start the season unless one of them gets a roster spot in the bullpen as a long reliever. Rejoice Cubs fans as it should be a fun and interesting 2018 season.
