Cubs part ways with 3B coach Willie Harris |
Multiple reports on Friday afternoon stated that the Chicago Cubs are parting ways with third base coach Willie Harris.
It was first reported by 670 The Score's Bruce Levine. Levine said that the Cubs and Harris left on "good terms" and that Harris would be open to looking for other baseball coaching positions. Harris had been with the Cubs since the 2021 season. It appears that Craig Counsell is getting his new staff in place, as he has already reportedly let go first base coach Mike Napoli, assistant hitting coach Jim Adduci, and bullpen coach Darren Holmes. This should be an interesting offseason as Counsell and Hoyer go all in, hopefully, to help the Northsiders get back to the postseason in 2025.
