More offense is headed to the Windy City.

The Chicago Cubs are calling up top outfield prospect (#45 overall prospect) Owen Caissie, according to multiple reports on Thursday.

Caissie will make his debut against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday and could start at DH.

He will likely take the spot of catcher Miguel Amaya, who suffered a sprained left ankle on Wednesday night. It was such a bad injury that he had to be carted off the field.

The 23-year-old Caissie is hitting .292 with 22 home runs and a .966 OPS for the Iowa Cubs. In his last 15 at-bats, he has eight hits.

He was acquired by the Cubs in the Yu Darvish trade with the San Diego Padres back in 2020. After a long five-year wait, the fans can finally see him with the big league club during a playoff push.
