J-Hey is not hanging up his cleats yet.

Former Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward has signed a one-year deal worth $9 million for the 2024 season.

The deal is pending a physical.

In 2023, he hit .269 with 15 homers and had a 2.2 wins above replacement. He was solid with the Dodgers as he played all three outfielder spots and even played some first base last season.

The Cubs released him after the 2022 season with one year left on his eight-year, $184 million contract.

For this career, he is a .258 hitter with 174 homers and 681 RBIs.
