Marcus Stroman injury update |
The Stro Show has been postponed.
Chicago Cubs standout pitcher Marcus Stroman can only watch and cheer on his teammates as they try to win a playoff spot for his team. Stroman was 10-8 with a 3.85 ERA with 111 strikeouts before his rib injury. “I know he feels better,” Hoyer said about the injury on the Mully & Haugh Show. “I know he doesn’t feel perfect yet. And it’s a frustrating injury because it’s a rest injury.” Unfortunately, the Cubs don't know when he will be available. “There’s not a real timeframe, honestly, because it’s nothing something that we normally deal (with),” Hoyer said. “I know he’s feeling better. We’re hopeful, and I think we’ll have more of a sense after he sees the doctor today, just what the rest of the month can look like.” Stroman is yet to throw off the mound because of his injury. It sounds like that Stroman won't be back anytime soon, and if they can get him back at some point this season, it certainly would be a bonus for the team. Cubs pitcher Marcus Stroman was examined by doctors in Chicago yesterday. They said it’s still healing he is doing light activity. #Cubs Injury Updates:
-Marcus Stroman got checked out and the rib cartilage continues to heal. He will continue to progress as tolerated.
-Michael Fulmer’s forearm strain is improving. He will resume throwing in a couple days.
