WATCH: Christopher Morel emotional saying goodbye in dugout after trade

The Christopher Morel era is over in the Windy City.

The Cubs traded away the young slugger and two prospects to the Tampa Bay Rays for All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes.

In the third inning of Sunday's game, the news of the trade hit social media and a few moments later, Morel was saying goodbye to his teammates and coaches in the dugout.

Morel posted on Instagram after hearing he was traded.

"Right now I can't think or speak, tears are coming out, but my soul and my heart will always be in Chicago, Philippians 4:13."
