Cubs reduce Spring Roster to 30 players

MESA – The Chicago Cubs have assigned two players to minor league camp, reducing their spring roster from 32 to 30 players.

Left-handed pitcher Kyle Ryan has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa while right-handed pitcher Allen Webster has been assigned to minor league camp.

Chicago’s spring roster of 30 players consists of 17 pitchers (which includes right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman, 60-day I.L.), two catchers, seven infielders and four outfielders.
