2022 Cubs Convention canceled

Sad news for diehard Cubs fans.

The 2022 Cubs Convention has been canceled according to multiple reports on Saturday including the Chicago Tribune.

Paul Sullivan of the Tribune had the latest.

“Winter months, an indoor environment, where you’re talking about 10,000 people or more in closed quarters where you can’t technically social distance,” Cubs spokesman Julian Green said. “It’s for safety reasons. It’s just a little more difficult to manage."

On Friday, the Chicago White Sox also canceled their 'SoxFest' event.

Hopefully, things will get back to normal for Cubs fans in 2023 as I know many people that enjoy the Cubs Convention as much or even more than a trip to Wrigley Field.
