Bears add running back, release offensive lineman |
The Chicago Bears have added running back Demetric Felton to their practice squad and released offensive lineman Austen Pleasants according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
This is the second time Felton has been signed by the Bears this year. The Bears needed more running back depth after the recent concussion suffered by backup running back Roschon Johnson during the Thanksgiving loss to the Detroit Lions. Felton has a career total of 209 yards and two touchdowns in the NFL. He spent two seasons with the Browns and had a stint with the Bengals on their practice team. At 26 years old, Felton enters the Bears' roster as a promising addition following his selection as a sixth-round draft pick from UCLA. Felton rushed for 1,101 yards with seven touchdowns and had 99 catches for 958 yards and eight touchdowns at UCLA. Chicago Bears RB Demetric Felton is wearing number 37.
