Bears make several roster moves

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced on Saturday that they have added defensive end Gerri Green and cornerback Harrison Hand to the active roster from their practice squad.

Green is a 2019 sixth-round draft pick by the Colts and has been on the Patriots, Commanders, and Raiders practice teams during his short stint in the NFL.

Hand was claimed off waivers from the Giants on September 13.

In two seasons with the Vikings, he has 22 tackles and three passes defended.

The Bears also have activated veteran receiver Byron Pringle from the injured reserve list.

Pringle has three catches for 33 yards this season.

He returns to the active roster after getting hurt in Week 3 against the Houston Texans.

In other roster news, the Bears signed tight end Jake Tonges to the practice squad and released cornerback Davontae Harris.

Tonges is back with the team after being waived from the active roster on Thursday.
