David Montgomery leaves game with knee injury |
This is not good news for the Bears offense trying to find their way.
Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury. Montgomery had to be helped off the field with trainers and went straight to the locker room without putting much pressure on his leg. He was playing exceptional this afternoon with 23 rushes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. For the season, he has 69 rushes for 309 yards and three touchdowns. Bears officials have called it a knee injury, and he is out for the rest of the game. Backups running back Damien Williams and Khalil Herbert have replaced 'Monty' as the Bears try to hang onto the victory. In other injury news, Akiem Hicks was ruled out with a groin injury today. David Montgomery, my #FantasyFootball RB Love of the Week, spotted 106 yards on 23 attempts and 2 TD before this. ???? #NFLTwitterpic.twitter.com/HZ3nZ2IEkB
