Former Bears All-Pro Eddie Jackson agrees to deal with NFL team

by - Senior Editor -

A new beginning for a seasoned veteran.

Former Chicago Bears All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson is signing a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced on Friday.

The Bears cut the 30-year-old to save cap space.

In 2023, in 12 games with the Bears, Jackson had 37 tackles, including five pass breakups and an interception.

Bears general manager Ryan Poles has nothing but love for Jackson, as he said recently.

"I know we put a piece out on them, but I just wanted to say thank you to them for what they've done for the Bears," Poles said. "We felt like it was the right time to give them an opportunity to test the market and see what's out there for them. I wanted to do right by them and do it as early as possible so they can put their plans in place."

The Bears drafted Jackson in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the No. 112 overall pick.

He will be reunited with former Bears linebacker Roquan Smith in Baltimore.
