CHICAGO - When the Chicago Bears faced the Minnesota Vikings in the season opener, Minnesota came back from an 11-point deficit to win 27-24. That is being reflected in the spread for their rematch on Sun. Nov. 16 (Noon / FOX) as Minnesota is currently favored by three points with the over / under at 48.5.
Five of Chicago’s games have been decided by one possession this season, three of them by three points or less. The Bears seem to be playing in a lot of close games this year, including each of their last two games. Additionally, division games are always competitive, and therefore, this game will likely be decided by three points or less, meaning the Bears will cover the spread. According to DraftKings, a $5 bet on Chicago to cover the spread (-118) would have a $9.23 payout. Except for the Baltimore Ravens game, the Bears have put up over 20 points in every game this season. Minnesota’s offense is a little less predictable. When J.J. McCarthy has been their quarterback, they have scored 27 points twice, but also have a game with just nine points. This game will likely come close to the over/under. However, similar to Chicago’s game last week, it will be just under. A $5 bet on the under to hit (-110) would have a $9.54 payout.
In his three games against the Vikings, quarterback Caleb Williams has thrown for an average of 247 yards, which is slightly above his average this season. Williams has over 280 passing yards in two of the past three games and has been getting more comfortable in the offensive scheme since he first faced Minnesota in the season opener. Therefore, Williams will throw for at least 250 passing yards in this game. A $5 bet for Williams to throw for at least 250 passing yards (+155) would have a payout of $12.75. After having no receptions against the Cincinnati Bengals, wide receiver Rome Odunze had a great game against the New York Giants with six receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. That was his first touchdown since before the bye week. While the Vikings are not an ideal matchup, they have allowed eight touchdowns to wide receivers through the first nine games of the season. Odunze already has a touchdown against Minnesota in his career, and he will get another one this coming Sunday. A $5 bet for Odunze to score a touchdown against the Vikings (+155) would have a $12.75 payout. Running back D’Andre Swift does not seem to be 100 percent going into this game. He was unable to practice on Wednesday due to a hip injury and has seen a decrease in the percentage of offensive snaps he plays, as rookie running back Kyle Monangai has started to emerge. Monangai only played on 38.2 percent of snaps last week, but he got some red zone carries and ultimately got a rushing touchdown. Head coach Ben Johnson seems to be making an effort to continue to get Monangai opportunities and therefore, Monangai will score a touchdown in this game as well. A $5 bet on Monangai to score a touchdown against Minnesota (+170) would have a payout of $13.50.
In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the under hitting, Williams throwing for at least 250 yards, and Odunze and Monangai each scoring a touchdown (+9500), a $5 bet would have a payout of $480.
This featured parlay is a three-legged parlay featuring Odunze, Drake London with the Atlanta Falcons, and Jaylen Waddle with the Miami Dolphins, all scoring a touchdown. All three of these players scored a touchdown last week.
