Chicago Bears drop in latest NFL Power Rankings

by - Staff Writer -

After the sixth week of the NFL season, we at Chicago Bears HQ decided it was time to evaluate the NFL and give our power rankings.

We decided to explain in detail the top half of the power rankings.

1. Patriots- The 6-0 Patriots remain the cream of the crop of the NFL. Their suffocating defense combined with Brady and Bellichick adds up to an almost beatable team on any given Sunday.

After the sixth week of the NFL season, we at DaBears HQ decided it was time to evaluate the NFL and give our power rankings.

We decided to explain just a few of the rankings.

2. Chiefs- Don’t fall off the Chiefs’ bandwagon after losing a tough game in primetime. They need to get healthy and will continue to be a heavyweight in the AFC.

3. Saints- No Brees. No Problem. The Saints have rode clever game planning by Sean Payton and some dynamic playmakers to win three straight games with Teddy Bridgewater under center. Their defense has proven it is no joke, as well.

4. Eagles- Roster wise the Eagles can compete for a Super Bowl, not to mention the Eagles beat the Packers in Green Bay and throttled the Jets.

5. Packers- The Packers have won their division games, lost a tough one against the Eagles, and responded by dominating the Cowboys. It may not be what the readers like to see, but the Packers look like a top-five team.

6. Seahawks- Russell Wilson looks like an MVP through five games, and Pete Carrol is an astute coach. Keep an eye on the Seahawks in a very competitive NFC West.

7. 49ers - it’s time to respect 4-0. Huge win over the Browns Monday night to prove they are legt=it.

8. Bills- The Bills are better than you think. The defense is one of the best in the league, and they look like they continue to do enough offensively to get it done. They also made Brady look bad.

9. Rams- Rams have dropped two in a row to the Bucs and the Seahawks but still have a Super Bowl-caliber roster. Keep an eye on the Rams.

10. Cowboys- We may have over ratted the Cowboys after beating up on the Redskins, Giants, and Dolphins. The Saints and Packers made the Cowboys look bad in consecutive weeks.

11. Ravens- After the sixth week of the NFL season, we at Chicago Bears HQ decided it was time to evaluate the NFL and give our power rankings.

12. Texans- Deshaun Watson threw for 400 plus yards and five touchdowns in a game where the Texans offense looked to compete with the Chiefs for bets in the AFC. Watson received AFC Player of the Week honors for his performance.

13. Colts- The Colts have looked great against good teams and also lost some games to teams they should beat. If they can continue to play the way they did when they handed the Chiefs their first loss of the year, I could undoubtedly see the Colts continuing to climb the ranking despite losing Andrew Luck.

14. Bears- The defense is still near the tops on the NFL. Despite the lack of consistency on offense, the Bears seem bound to turn it around even with a grueling schedule. The Bears head into the bye week after a tough loss in London but remain afloat in the NFC.

15. Panthers- Just like the team leading the NFC South, the Panthers have thrived without their franchise quarterback Cam Newton. Kyle Allen has stepped in and delivered four straight wins, all while Christian McCaffrey’s historic start has fueled the Panthers’ offense.

16. Lions- The Lions played the Chiefs tough before their bye-week and have looked formidable early on. They will continue to get tested as the schedule gets tougher, but the Lions prove to be no pushover this year.

17. Vikings- The Vikings have looked good against bad teams, but looked bad in division games against the Packers and Bears. They have yet to put it all together yet but have a roster that can compete in a tough NFC.

18. Browns- The Browns have certainly had an up and down season. The Browns have been destroyed twice by the Titans and 49ers and lost a tight game to the Rams. The Browns also decisively beat the Ravens and the Jets.

The rest of the teams:

19. Buccaneers

20. Chargers

21. Titans

22. Giants

23. Jaguars

24. Raiders

25. Broncos

26. Falcons

27. Steelers

28. Cardinals

29. Jets

30. Bengals

31. Redskins

32. Dolphins
