Vegas odds on Bears-Browns: Point spreads, Totals, Preview, NFL Picks |
Betting odds: Chicago Bears (+7, -110) at Cleveland Browns (-7, -110), O/U 45.5
The Bears travel into Cleveland in a week 3 battle against 1-1 teams. I was really curious what direction Vegas would go with the line for this game because of the fact that Justin Fields is making his first career start and the Browns have not put together a full complete game yet this year, but 7 points seems about right. The Browns have played a great half of football in each of their first 2 games. Patrick Mahomes came back to get the best of them in week 1, but they really struggled against a bad Texans team before starting QB Tyrod Taylor left the game due to injury. The offense has looked pretty solid while the defense has been shaky. Cleveland is 1-1 against the spread through two weeks. After a disappointing week one, the Bears bounced back in week 2. I am thinking that with Fields taking over as starter the playbook will open up some more and allow for the offense to pick it up. He will play better this week after a full week of practice with the first team and a gameplan solely around him. The defense will hopefully play close to their week 2 performance, but they still are going to let up points this week. Underdogs have covered the spread in the Browns’ last six games. Four of the last five road games for the Bears have hit the over. I don’t think the Bears pull off the upset and win outright, but I do think they manage to cover and for the over to hit. Prediction: Browns 30, Bears 24. My Betslip: Bears +7, -110 Nick Chubb to score a TD -159 Justin Fields over 1.5 TD passes +145 Chicago Bears total points over 19.5, -114 David Montgomery over 78.5 total rushing and receiving yards, -115 Baker Mayfield total passing yards under 245.5, -114 Other bets I like around the league: Falcons at Giants (-3, -109) The Giants played well and were an offsides call on the game winning FG attempt away from winning last week against Washington. Atlanta has not looked good at all this year and Matt Ryan is showing some decline. I like the Giants to get their first win of 2021. Bengals (+3, -105) at Pittsburgh Pittsburgh has a bunch of injuries on the defensive side of the ball and Big Ben is also banged up after last week’s loss to the Raiders. Cincinnati’s defense has played well and I think the Bengals cover at +3. Dolphins at Raiders (-4, -110) Derek Carr and the Raiders are off to a 2-0 start and have beat two good teams in the Ravens and Pittsburgh to get there. Miami is starting backup quarterback Jacoby Brisset and I think he struggles to get the offense going. I am taking the Raiders at -4. Eagles at Cowboys (-3, -115) The Cowboys are coming off an impressive road win against the Chargers with the defense stepping up. The Eagles defense has been really impressive through two weeks but the Cowboys will be too much for them. I have the Cowboys covering -3 at home.
