ESPN is reporting the Chicago Cubs have signed center fielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger to a one-year, $17.5 million contract. Bellinger, a former Rookie of the Year, won the National League MVP in 2019.
Bellinger, 27, is coming off a season in which he had a .210 batting average with 19 home runs and 68 RBIs and struck out 150 times in 504 at bats. More details soon. Cody Bellinger, who is reportedly signing with the Cubs, has played for the Dodgers the last 6 seasons where he made 2 All-Star Games & won NL MVP in 2019.
