The Christopher Morel era is over in the Windy City.
The Cubs traded away the young slugger and two prospects to the Tampa Bay Rays for All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes. In the third inning of Sunday's game, the news of the trade hit social media and a few moments later, Morel was saying goodbye to his teammates and coaches in the dugout. Morel posted on Instagram after hearing he was traded. "Right now I can't think or speak, tears are coming out, but my soul and my heart will always be in Chicago, Philippians 4:13."
