The Chicago Cubs have traded lefty pitcher Eric Stout in exchange for cash considerations on Tuesday.

Prior to this season, Stout’s only previous only Major League experience came with Kansas City, making 3 appearances for the Royals during the 2018 season. He has combined to go 23-18 with 17 saves, a 4.39 ERA (185 ER in 379.0 IP), 344 strikeouts against 161 walks in 202 appearances (19 starts) across parts of 8 Minor League seasons in the Royals (2014-18), Reds (2019), Marlins (2021) and Cubs (2022) organizations.
