Since returning to the cubs from Iowa on May 6th, Carl Edwards Jr. has been impressive, but unfortunately, unless the Cubs can make some trades soon, Edwards may very well be demoted to Iowa again when Kimbrel arrives.

I was all for the cubs signing Daniel descalced this off season but I expected him to be more of a Tommy Le Stella type player instead of a starter. Either way you look at it he has been a major disappointment and the cubs should cut ties with him now before they are stuck with him through next season. The question then will be who do you bring up to replace him on the active roster. Do you bring up an outfielder like mark the gounaris or Jim a duece who have both Ben on the bigley roster this year or is that the opportunity you have to call up in and use them as the role utility player. If you ask me if Ben' Is going to come back at some point that's when I could see the ties being cut with Daniel
