More defensive line help is on its way for the Bears.

The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with defensive end Mario Edwards on Sunday according to multiple reports including NFL.com.

The 26-year-old was cut by the New Orleans Saints on Saturday as they cut their squad down to 53 players.

In 2019, Edwards had eight tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble in 293 snaps last season.

For his NFL career, he has 93 tackles including 12 for loss, 10.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

The Oakland Raiders selected him with the 35th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

He will try to help replace former Florida State teammate Eddie Goldman who opted out this season with the Bears back in July. He will likely try to work in some playing time with Bilal Nichols.
