Colin Cowherd says Bears trying to make a Russell Wilson trade that 'Seattle can't say no' |
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
The Russell Wilson trade rumors have been everywhere last few weeks as the star quarterback appears to be moving on from Seattle. Fox Sports One analyst Colin Cowherd has sources in the NFL that are saying that the Bears are really making a move for Wilson via a trade. “Here's the latest," Cowherd said. "I’m told the Chicago Bears are trying to make a move on Russell Wilson and trying to create a move that is so good Seattle can’t say no." Cowherd goes on to say that the Bears might be willing to give Seattle a ton of future picks for Russell. "Here's how it works, Chicago gives Seattle five first-round picks," Cowherd said. "Now they may not be great picks if they get Russell Wilson, but they give up five first-round picks. Nobody else is probably going to offer that." The one sticking point is that Seattle would need to find a quarterback to replace Wilson like Sam Darnold. Obviously, it's tough to decipher if Cowherd actually knows something with inside information on the Bears or just making fodder for his radio/tv show. The trade rumors with Wilson should be interesting to follow as something has to give in the next few weeks. “I’m told the Chicago Bears are trying to make a move on Russell Wilson and trying to create a move that is so good Seattle can’t say no."
