The Chicago Cubs have officially released Triple-A Iowa starting pitcher Jen-Ho Tseng on Thursday.
He was DFA'd to make room for Allen Webster on the 40-man roster. Tseng has cleared waivers and can sign with any team. He was 34-35 with a 3.85 ERA (265 ER/619.0 IP) in 113 minor league appearances (111 starts) in five minor league seasons in the Cubs organization. He is 1-0 with a 9.00 ERA (8 ER/8.0 IP) in three major league outings, two as a starter.
