Chicago Bears veteran tight end Jimmy Graham was nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award on Thursday.

Each NFL team had one representative that was nominated.

"I signed with the Bears right when the pandemic hit," Graham said. "I just wanted to make sure the first thing I did here was to help the community.”

His 'Jimmy Graham Foundation' provides aviation experiences for veterans and underprivileged youths.

The winner of the award will be announced during the Super Bowl in February.

For the season, he has 38 receptions for 334 yards (8.8 ypc) and five touchdowns.
