Mike Ditka suffers heart attack

by - Senior Editor -

Legendary Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka is recovering from a heart attack he suffered on Wednesday and still in a Naples, Florida hospital working on his heart rehab.

By all accounts, he is doing OK after having the heart episode playing golf. This is the third time he has had a heart attack, the first was back in 1988 with the Bears and also in 2012 at a Highland Park golf course.

Ditka's agent had the following update according to Adam Schefter:

“Coach Ditka had a mild heart attack earlier this week. Doctors inserted a pacemaker and he is doing much better. He appreciates the outpouring of support and expects to be home soon.”

Everyone at CubsHQ.com wants to wish the 79-year old 'Iron Mike' a healthy recovery and rehab.
