Darnell Mooney injury update |
Chicago Bears speedster receiver Darnell Mooney suffered an ankle injury in Week 12 last season, and has provided an optimistic update in an WGN.com interview.
"I'm feeling good," Mooney said about his rehab. "I'm ready to roll." Mooney has come to peace with his injury as he has bonded with teammate Eddie Jackson, who was also rehabbing from a foot injury. “There’s been some ups and downs,” Mooney said. “It’s been a trial. Some things I’ve learned – I’ve enjoyed the journey of it. I’ve enjoyed the process. I’ve learned a lot being able to sit down. You can’t really do too much. Rehabbing my ankle, especially with Eddie (Jackson), being able to talk through some life things – it’s been amazing.” Mooney had 40 catches for 493 yards and two touchdowns before his season-ending injury last season. With Mooney, Moore and Claypool all being lined up on the same field at the same time this season, fans should see a more productive WR group. Bears training camp gets kicked off on July 25.
