Bears waive nine players

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced on Monday that they have waived nine players with receivers John Jackson and Peter LeBlanc, offensive linemen Ja'Tyre Carter and Jerome Carvin, defensive linemen Michael Dwumfour and Jaylon Hutchings, linebackers Paul Moala and Javin White, and safety Quindell Johnson.

There are no huge names on the list, but Carter is probably the most notable cut.

Carter appeared in 10 games with two starts last season and has played in 13 career games.

The Bears currently have 78 players and must reach the 53-man limit by Tuesday at 3 pm CT.
