Report: Bears make several roster moves |
Tough news on a promising young lineman.
The Chicago Bears have placed offensive lineman Bill Murray on injured reserve with a pectoral injury. Murray's pass-blocking grade from PFF was 85.7, and he was a solid contributor during his 42 snaps. He played well when starting left guard Teven Jenkins went down with an ankle injury. They have also signed former Chargers offensive lineman Austen Pleasants to the practice team. Pleasants only has two NFL starts in his young career. He was an undrafted free agent in 2020 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In another move, the Bears have released long-snapper Jake McQuaide to make room for Pleasants. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune first reported these moves.
