Ben Zobrist talks his future

Say it isn’t Zo!

Former Chicago Cubs Ben Zobrist confirmed to a few Cubs reporters including 670 The Score's Bruce Levine on Friday that he has no plans to play this season and will just going to concentrate on his family. He is not offically retired yet.

Zobrist also shared that he hopes to work with the Cubs in some capacity in the future.

Congratulations to Zobrist on his successful major league career, and hopefully, one day, he will indeed re-join David Ross and Co. in some type of organizational role full-time.

Zobrist is currently been hanging out with the team the last few days as a guest similar as former teammate John Lackey has been doing.

“He’s here just observing, hanging out with the boys,” Ross said about Zobrist via the Chicago Sun-Times. “He’s just taking it in here, being around family. It’s nice to have a World Series MVP in the room floating around. That never hurts anybody.”

In 2019, he batted .260 with a homer and 17 RBIs. During his four years with the Cubs, he hit .269 with 40 homers and 201 RBIs.

For his impressive MLB career, he batted .266 with 167 homers, 768 RBIs, and had an on-base percentage of .357.
