Roster Moves: Cubs tender contracts to 30 players including Contreras, Happ

CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today announced the following roster moves for Tuesday, November 30, in conjunction with today’s deadline to tender/non-tender 2022 contracts for unsigned players on their 40-man roster.

Two arbitration-eligible players have been tendered 2022 contracts: catcher Willson Contreras and outfielder Ian Happ. Overall, a total of 30 players from the Cubs 40-man roster were tendered 2022 contracts today – the two arbitration eligible players listed above and 28 players not yet eligible for arbitration.

The Cubs non-tendered right-handed pitcher Jason Adam and outfielder Michael Hermosillo, both of whom were not yet eligible for arbitration.

The Cubs 40-man roster now stands at 35 players.
