Bears announce players out vs. Vikings including David Montgomery |
Not ideal news for a struggling offense.
Bears starting running back David Montgomery has been ruled out of Monday night's contest against the Minnesota Vikings as he remains in the concussion protocol. Montgomery suffered the concussion in last Sunday's loss against the Titans. He has 131 rushes for 472 yards and a touchdown this season. "With Montgomery being out and being in the protocol right now," said coach Matt Nagy to the media, "what we've seen all week in practice is just for our guys that are all there in practice to be able to kind of fill different roles. There is a chance that veteran running back Lamar Miller could be activated for Monday's game. No official word on that has been announced yet. “To me, there’s an excitement of the possibility of him being able to fill a role for us,” Nagy said. In other Bears injury news, defensive tackle John Jenkins, quarterback Mitch Trubisky, and Sherrick McManis are all ruled out for Monday's game. Cordarelle Patterson?
Ryan Nall?
Artavis Pierce?
Maybe Lamar Miller?
Bill Lazor’s first game as the #Bears play-caller starts off minus one of their best playmakers in David Montgomery.
