The Chicago Bears announced on Friday that they have released fullback Khari Blasingame and waived receiver Velus Jones Jr.
Jones was a former third-round pick in 2022 by the Bears. Veteran special-teamer DeAndre Carter has played well this season and has minimized the need for Jones. Blasingame was likely cut because there wasn't a huge role for a fullback in Shane Waldron's Bears offense. More to come on this breaking news story.
