Bears defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano retiring

by - Senior Editor -

There certainly will be some shakeup for the Chicago Bears this offseason.

For the third time in four seasons, the Bears will be hiring a new defensive coordinator as Chuck Pagano is retiring from coaching.

"This has been an amazing ride and I have made countless relationships that I will cherish forever," Pagano told the media Wednesday.

The Bears were not elite as expecting regarding defense this past season as they were only 11th in total defense and 14th in scoring defense.

Pagano has been in the NFL coaching since 2001, including time with the Browns, Ravens, Colts (head coach), and Bears.

His coaching career started way back in 1984 when he was a graduate assistant at USC.

Best wishes to Pagano in retirement as he is one of the good guys in the sport.

In other coaching news, Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace are being retained by the organization.
