Not the ideal way to start your future free agency.
Chicago Bears defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. has been suspended for the first two games of the 2021 season for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, announced by the NFL on Friday. Edwards is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in March. He had a career-high four sacks, six tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hits in 15 games this past season as a solid rotational type. In other roster news, the Bears signed receivers Reggie Davis and Jester Weah to reserve/future contracts.
