Jayden Daniels injury update |
Caleb Williams vs. Jayden Daniels might be happening after all on Sunday.
Daniels, the rookie quarterback, was able to practice some on Friday despite dealing with a rib injury. "Jayden was able to practice today," Quinn said. "We followed the plan really that we set at the start of the week. … Think crawl, walk, run. … We will assess how he responds to the work that we did over the next 48 hours, but we really pushed it today. We'll make the best decision for him and the team." Quinn said they are still going through tests but he looked good. "I think the response to say you're feeling good like you're not in pain to do that," Quinn said. "How does your body respond from really getting pushed to go? I would say that's what we need to see. The testing is ongoing to get to that spot, but it was a good day." Daniels was still listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. For the season, Daniels has throw for 1,410 yards and six passing touchdowns and only two picks. His QBR is third-best in the NFL.
