Rome Odunze misses first training camp practice

Football is back finally for the Chicago Bears, bringing excitement as the team prepares for a new season.

However, there was one notable player who was absent from the first practice of training camp.

Chicago Bears rookie receiver Rome Odunze was absent on Saturday morning.

It was a closed practice and he was excused from practice for personal reasons.

Odunze is expected to rejoin his teammates and return to practice on Sunday.

At Washington, Odunze caught 214 passes for 3,272 yards with 24 touchdowns, including 92 catches for 1,640 yards (FBS-high) with 13 TDs last season.

According to projections by ESPN, Odunze will catch 60 passes for 804 yards and six touchdowns this upcoming season.
