Vegas odds on what position Chicago Bears will pick first in 2023 NFL Draft

by - Senior Editor -

The NFL Draft is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for football fans. Every team is looking to improve its roster, and the Chicago Bears are no exception.

The Bears have several needs to address in the upcoming draft, and fans and analysts alike are speculating about which position the team will select with their first-round pick.

As usual, oddsmakers have gotten in on the action, and BetOnline has released their predictions for the Bears' first pick.

The favorite position to be drafted by the Bears is an offensive lineman. According to the Vegas odds, there is a 1/2 chance that the Bears will select an offensive lineman with their first-round pick. This is not surprising considering the Bears' struggles on the offensive line over the past few seasons.

The team has already made several moves in the offseason to improve the line, but there is still work to be done. The addition of a talented young lineman could be just what the Bears need to give their offense a boost.

The next most likely position for the Bears to draft is a defensive lineman. The odds of the Bears selecting a defensive lineman are 19/10, which translates to a +190 payout.

This is also a position of need for the Bears, as the team has struggled to generate a consistent pass rush in recent years. Adding a disruptive defensive lineman could go a long way in improving the Bears' defense.

Third on the list is wide receiver.

The odds of the Bears drafting a wide receiver are 15/2, or +750. This may seem like a long shot, but the Bears could use another weapon in the passing game to complement Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool.

The odds for the remaining positions drop off significantly.

The odds of the Bears drafting a cornerback are 10/1 (+1000), while the odds of them drafting a running back are 25/1 (+2500). The odds of the Bears drafting a safety, linebacker, quarterback, or tight end are all 100/1 (+10000).

And finally, the odds of the Bears drafting a kicker, punter, or long snapper are 200/1 (+20000).

Regardless of who the Bears select, the hope is that they'll add a talented young player who can help the team compete in the tough NFC North.
