It's the offseason for the Cubs, but that doesn't stop roster transactions.

On Monday, the Cubs made several roster moves according to the MLB transaction list as they plan for their 40-man roster for the 2022 season.

David Bote, Patrick Wisdom, Tommy Nance, and Nick Martini were all activated from the COVID-19 injured list.

Pitcher Joe Biagini, outfielder Johneshwy Fargas, and infielder Tyler Ladendorf were outrighted to Iowa.

Catchers Erick Castillo and Tyler Payne were designated for assignment.

The Cubs roster is now down to 39 players.

This should be an interesting offseason as the Cubs try to retool their roster with a new general manager and money available to spend to be competitive again.
