Adrian is in his second season with the Cubs after he signed a minor league contract with the club in May 2021... Has gone 7-14 with a 5.16 ERA (108 ER/188.1 IP) in 51 career major league outings (25 starts) with Seattle (2016), Texas (2018-19) and the Cubs... Spent the 2020 season with the Lotte Giants of the Korean Baseball Organization, going 9-12 with a 5.40 ERA (78 ER/130.0 IP) in 25 starts... Tossed his first career major league complete game with Texas in game two on June 8, 2019 vs. Oakland, allowing one run on four hits over 9.0 innings... Made his major league debut with Seattle in 2016, but was injured while warming up prior to his second major league start on June 23, 2016 at Detroit... Went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA (8 ER/24.0 IP) in five starts, compared to 0-1 with a 2.38 ERA (3 ER/11.1 IP) in five relief outings with Chicago... Did not allow more than two earned runs in any appearance... Made his Cubs debut on Aug. 18 at Cincinnati (1 ER/4.0 IP) after having his contract purchased from Triple-A Iowa... Made major league debut with the Mariners, but was injured warming up prior to his next outing and missed the remainder of the season...allowed 4 R over 4.2 innings in his lone outing on 6/18 at BOS…did not throw a pitch in his final scheduled outing on 6/23 at DET, leaving that contest after warming up due to injury…had surgery to repair a flexor tendon in his right elbow on 6/30…spent the balance of the season with Triple-A Tacoma, going 7-4 with a 3.25 ERA (29 ER/80.1 IP) over 13 games/ starts…received by Texas on waivers from Seattle on 11/2 and was outrighted to the minors on 11/18.
