Bears reportedly to be 'big players' to get a star quarterback |
Another day and another media report involving Deshaun Watson.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports thinks the Bears will make a huge splash this offseason going after the Texans star signal-caller. "They're going to be big players in it," Glazer said Monday. "They know they have to. They know their entire offseason, their future, really hinges on them finding the right guy, finding a quarterback where you don't keep having a quarterback carousel. And if you have a guy in there, an offensive guy like Matt Nagy, you want to find somebody you can team up with him for a long time. "The first option's Deshaun Watson. That's the guy. Of anything out there, Deshaun Watson would be my top target. I would trade so much for a guy like Deshaun Watson. And then a guy like Matthew Stafford would probably come in after that." Watson signed a four-year and $156 million extension in September to make him the highest-paid player in the league during that span. Who will land Matt Stafford? Latest on Dak getting a new deal?
