Mitch Trubisky on his benching after hip issue: 'It just sucks.' |
The Chicago Bears had a disappointing offensive performance in the 17-7 loss to the Rams on Sunday night.
Starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky was pulled from the game in the final possession with right hip pain. "They just decided, the shape I was in, I couldn't help the team the way I wanted to," Trubisky said to reporters during postgame interviews. "It's super disappointing." Trubiskey finished 24-for-43 passing for 190 yards with one passing touchdown and an interception. "It just sucks," Trubisky said. "I wish I could've finished out with my guys. But they made a call they felt was best for the team." It will be interesting to see what happens next week if the Bears decide to push pause on the Trubisky experiment or continue with the current path of mediocrity.
