by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith was out after the first series during Thursday's 31-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

It is likely that he has has a torn pec muscle according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The MRI has not come back yet but if the injury is confirmed, he will be out for the remainder of the season.

Head coach Matt Nagy had the following comment about his injury during postgame interviews.

" It Does not look good for him he said."

Nagy thinks he has players that will step up in his absence.

"The way that Roquan has been playing in the last couple weeks, flying around, making plays, you just love that confidence that he's bringing to the defense," he said. "You feel bad for Roquan, but we know that we have guys that can fill in."

For the season, Smith has 102 tackles, two sacks, and an interception.

He was the 8th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
