Report: Cubs have Arrieta down for 20 pitches in Game 7 |
Fox reporter Tom Verducci was interviewed by Colin Cowherd on Wednesday afternoon and he said that Jake Arrieta is ready to go and the Cubs have him down for 20 pitches.
Arrieta went to pitching coach Chris Bosio after the game Tuesday night and said that he will be available for the pivotal game. Arrieta threw 102 pitches in Game six giving up two earned runs on three hits, walking three, and had nine strikeouts. The Cubs will also have starting pitchers Jon Lester and John Lackey at their disposal if needed. Tom Verducci: Arrieta went to the pitching coach last night and said I'm good for tomorrow.
