Roster Move: Bears re-sign defensive back Tarvarius Moore |
The Chicago Bears on Monday signed veteran defensive back Tarvarius Moore to a one-year extension.
Moore has appeared in 72 career games (13 starts), as well as six postseason outings, over five seasons of action with the San Francisco 49ers (2018-22) and Chicago Bears (2024). Last season, Moore appeared in 11 games for Chicago, primarily contributing on special teams, totaling seven special teams tackles for the Bears. Over his career, Moore has amassed 87 tackles (63 solo), including one tackle for loss, along with six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, adding an interception for the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV against the Kansas City Chiefs. Moore missed the duration of the 2021 season due to injury. Prior to joining the Bears, Moore spent 2023 with the Green Bay Packers, where he spent the offseason and training camp, before being placed on Reserve/Injured prior to the start of the regular season. A native of Quitman, Miss., Moore spent his final two collegiate seasons at Southern Mississippi (2016-17), capping his tenure by leading the Golden Eagles in tackles (87) and securing a career-high three interceptions in 2017, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference USA recognition.
