Carson Kelly injury update |
One of the under-the-radar moves this offseason was the Cubs signing of veteran catcher Carson Kelly.
Kelly has been red-hot in the early portion of the year hitting .417 with four homers and 13 RBIs. But during Sunday night’s game against the Dodgers, he was forced to exit after taking a 94 MPH fastball from Tyler Glasnow off his left wrist. Fortunately for the Cubs, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. “It’s sore,” Kelly said about his wrist. “I got X-rays. X-rays were good, and I was just really sore. That’s all. “I’ve broken some bones up there before. I’ve gone through this process, and I’m just thankful that it’s not broken, and we’ll take it day by day.” Kelly said.
