Report: Javy Baez signs $140 million deal with Tigers |

Former Chicago Cubs star shortstop Javy Baez is headed off to the Motor City. According to MLB insider Jon Morosi, Baez is signing a six-year deal worth $140 million with Detroit. Baez hit .248 with 22 homers and 65 RBIs in 91 games with the Cubs this past season. However, he turned in on after a trade with the Mets hitting .299 with nine homers and 22 RBs in 47 games. He hit .264 with 149 homers and 465 RBIs for his career, including being a two-time All-Star and 2018 National League MVP runner-up.
