Cubs pitching rotation set out of All-Star break

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

The Cubs (53-35) begin the second half of the season with a seven-game lead over the second-place St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central standings.

Extra rest may be needed for the top of the rotation so here is the lineup for the next week of action.

Kyle Hendricks, Jason Hammel, and John Lackey will pitch in the second half opening series against the Texas Rangers and then Jake Arrieta and Jon Lester will start against the New York Mets.

Mets have been a thorn in the Cubs side so Chicago will be putting their ace pitchers on the mound against them.
