Carl Edwards Jr. headed to the DL |
This is not ideal news for someone trying to make it back to the majors ASAP.
Cubs reliever Carl Edwards Jr. will reportedly go on the Triple-A injured list with a right-hand injury. He reportedly slipped on a set of stairs and scraped up his right hand while trying to brace himself. That's all the news we got on the injury as the minors don't really go much in-depth on injuries. Hopefully, it's not too bad and he can get back to pitching soon and be back with the Cubs fairly soon. In limited duty in 2019, Edwards had a 32.40 ERA and two strikeouts. For his career, he has been impressive with a 3.36 ERA with two saves and 219 strikeouts. Carl Edwards Jr going on the Triple-A injured list after scraping his right hand after a fall.
