Report: Marlins interested in Travis Wood

Cubs reliever Travis Wood is a free agent this offseason and several teams have strong interest with him as a starter including the Miami Marlins according to the Miami Herald.

Woods is 35-50 with a 4.19 as a starter in his career.

In 2016, Wood had a 4-0 record with a 2.95 ERA with 47 strikeouts and a 1.13 WHIP in the regular season. During the postseason, he was 1-0 with a save, two holds and a 3.12 ERA.

Wood is also on of the top slugging pitchers as he was the first reliever to hit a homer in the postseason since 1924.
