The chat began with Anthony and Tony discussing Tony’s trip to Iowa for the Field of Dreams game earlier this month against the Reds. Tony explained how awe-inspiring the trip was for him as well as how cool the display was that MLB put on. The pair then continued the conversation about the trading deadline, and how shocking it was to see Willson Contreras and Ian Happ remain in Chicago past the trade deadline — sparking a run of 5-of-6 series wins by the Cubs. Then, they talked about the potential futures of Cubs players like Contreras, Happ, Nico Hoerner, Justin Steele, Drew Smyly, Franmil Reyes, and Patrick Wisdom — and where they may fit in a busy offseason that may contain the Cubs' spending for a high market shortstop.
